May 1, 2010- Many A Shows
For some reason three shows ended up opening on the same night! I had no idea what I was thinking, but I know I have been busy prepping for shows that I am participating in May.

First off, I have my piece "Red Dress" opening in the Austin, TX group show "Blending of Cultures". It will feature fiber work from Texas artists at the Mexican American Cultural Center. You can click here to find out more info.

I will also have a piece on display at the Faculty Show at Lillstreet Art Center, where I am an instructor in the Textile Department. There should be great work from all disciplines. The artist's reception is from 3-6pm at 4401 N Ravenswood, Chicago IL.

For the evening, come relax at the Seneca Hotel, where I will be a part of the group show, NEON AND WORRIED, going on during Art Chicago. View works from local and NY artists. Here is the info:

Exciting news to say the least. This was my first time participating in the event, and I had a great time meeting new artists and art lovers alike. I am honored, and still a bit in shock, that I was the recipient of the Best in Show award. I will continue to smile and do cartwheels on the inside.
